Gaining a Forest School qualification is a big achievement. But once the study period is over, many Forest School Leaders are on their own.
The fully accredited Newly Qualified Forest School Leader Programme supports you through this transition, helping you to emerge as a confident and highly competent practitioner.
You'll get started and begin straight away.
In this fully accredited programme you'll receive a high level of support from our team of experienced Forest School Leaders, designed to build your confidence in a wide range of areas; from fire lighting and tool use to supporting children with SEND to knowing how to progress your career as a Forest School Leader.
Our flagship course, The Certificate in Therapeutic Skills for Outdoor Leaders, is included in this programme of support.
In this course you'll receive therapeutic training from our multi-disciplinary therapy team to equip you with the skills to support children with diverse needs in Forest School settings.
We spread the course over a year long period to give you plenty of time to get to grips with the content.
As part of The Therapeutic Forest's Newly Qualified Forest School programme, you will gain access to 6 mentorship groups spread over the year.
Our mentorship groups are led by experienced Forest School Leaders. They are a safe space to ask any questions you have.
Each session has a theme, focusing on key issues you may experience as a early career Forest School Leader.
As part of The Newly Qualified Forest School Leader programme you'll have access to a Career Planning webinar, where you can hear from our experienced team on a range of issues affecting a Forest School Leader- from pay to becoming self employed to starting your own Community Interest Company or Business.
