The Accredited Trauma-Informed Forest School Leader Programme has been designed specifically for Forest School Leaders who want to deepen the therapeutic impact of their practice.
Developed by The Therapeutic Forest's multidisciplinary therapy team, the programme combines evidence-informed trauma theory with practical Forest School application, helping you create emotionally safe woodland experiences that support regulation, belonging and resilience.
Throughout the programme you'll learn how to:
Recognise signs of nervous system dysregulation.
Respond to behaviour through a trauma-informed lens.
Create emotionally safe Forest School environments.
Use co-regulation and therapeutic presence confidently.
Apply movement, rhythm and sensory approaches within your sessions.
Design Forest School programmes that intentionally promote regulation, belonging and resilience.
Whether you work in schools, SEND, alternative provision, community settings or independently, the programme is designed to help you confidently apply trauma-informed practice in your own Forest School provision.
