Course Commitment:
Duration: The course is designed to take approximately 15 hours to complete.
Weekly Schedule: Our recommended schedule spreads the course over 10 weeks, with approximately 1.5 hours of study per week.
Flexible Pace: However, you have the flexibility to take the course at your own pace. You have up to 1 year to complete the accreditation, allowing you to fit the course around your existing commitments.

Module 1: Introduction to Mindful Walking for Children
Gain an understanding of the foundational principles of mindfulness, the importance of mindfulness in promoting children's well-being, and how to implement safety protocols and risk assessments for effective group management.
Module 2: General Principles of Mindful Walking
Learn the basics of mindful walking, the importance of slowing down, creating space for silence, and techniques for awareness of breathing, grounding, and body awareness.
Module 3: Creating the Magic - Different Types of Walks
Discover how to tailor mindful walking techniques for different age groups, including younger children and teenagers, with examples such as Colour Challenge Walks, Fairy Walks, Silent Walks, and Gratitude Walks.
Module 4: Inclusive Practices
Recognise and address the needs of children with different abilities and those who are neurodiverse, and learn how to adapt mindful walking practices to accommodate varying energy levels.
Module 5: Environmental Stewardship in Mindful Walking
Understand how to integrate activities that encourage appreciation for nature, implement gratitude practices, discuss local ecosystems and biodiversity, and promote a "leave-no-trace" mindset.
